Communication is simply the exchange of ideas, thoughts, etc.

Communication has made a very strong contribution to the development of society in all aspects, from the primitive tribal society of the past to the present day.

The need for communication has arisen since the need for human beings to act as a group rather than being separate, i.e. to exchange ideas with each other.

Fire, smoke, environmental noises, etc. were communicated during the fiscal year. After that, communication took place through signs, signals, voice cues, etc. Later, it gradually improved

and using various symbols, communication using Sinhala, English, Chinese, etc. languages, and using new media to carry out universal communication through these   languages 

In communication, Communication includes several elements such as a communicator, a message, a medium, a communicator, a receiver, and feedback.

In addition, thinking in one's own mind is called "interpersonal communication",

communication between two people is called "interpersonal communication", communication between more than two people is called "group communication", and communication using mass media is called "phone communication". Divided and then with the rise of the Internet and the computer, another element called "new media" was added to the elements of communication.

In terms of communication tools, there are a huge number of

communication tools in the communication process, from the tool called fire in the past to the modern wave transmission tools, such as drums, inscriptions, scrolls, clay tablets, slates, paper, newspapers, gramophone discs,

cassettes, CDs. , DVD, pen drive, radio, Tv, telematics, smartphone, computer and satellite transmission tools used today are some examples.

                Through the phenomenon of the Internet, we have now become able to live watch an event happening anywhere in the world immediately or at any moment.

Accordingly, communication, i.e. the process of exchange of ideas, has given immense support to the development of our society.
